Your role and main tasks:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our BI-Development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of ETL pipelines, data integration pipelines, and data modeling for our cloud-based Data Warehouse (AWS Redshift) and Data Lake. The ideal candidate is proficient in Python, PySpark, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, and has experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS. They should also have a strong understanding of relational databases, ETL design, data modeling, and interface specifications. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a scalable and efficient data infrastructure that treats data as a product, ensuring that our platform is able to deliver the best user experience possible.
- Design and implementation of ETL pipelines for data injection to DataLake and Redshift, migration from on-premises to cloud DataLake
- Deploy services via infrastructure as code (e.g., AWS CloudFormation, Terraform)
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and build robust, high-performance data platforms and scalable solutions in our AWS environment
- Design and implement a data infrastructure that treats data as a product, using data to drive product development decisions
- Have a good theoretical understanding of data structures and algorithms
- Analyze business requirements and provide technical solutions
- Model, develop, and maintain large, complex datasets
- Implement CI/CD and real-time data pipelines (Spark/PySpark)
You'll need:
- Strong experience with Python, PySpark, PostgreSQL, NoSQL databases, and cloud platforms such as AWS
- Excellent knowledge of ETL design, data modeling, and interface specifications
- Experience with quality assurance and testing methods, implementing unit and integration tests
- Strong analytical mindset, with a focus on clean, readable, and maintainable code
- Experience with designing, developing, and operating data integration pipelines to provide high-quality datasets for all business use-cases (e.g., analytical, machine learning, and artificial intelligence)
- Experience with cloud-based Data Warehousing (AWS Redshift) and Data Lakes
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, good command of the English language
