You’ll work with a modern technology stack, including cloud-based solutions, service-oriented architecture, and event-driven communication. Additionally, you’ll join an established international agile team comprising experienced developers, a dedicated Product Owner, and a QA engineer.
- GoLang (with some legacy PHP)
- Microservices hosted on AWS, enabling flexibility and growth
- Databases: transitioning from MySQL to AWS NoSQL solutions like DynamoDB
- Containers & Orchestration: Docker and Kubernetes for smooth deployment and scaling
- Messaging: AWS SQS for efficient queue management
- Front-End: ReactJS for building dynamic and responsive user interfaces
- Office and internal infrastructure is hosted in the Microsoft Azure cloud, providing a secure, scalable, and modern foundation for our workplace operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and developing the engineering team, including day-to-day guidance, motivation, and organization of team activities.
- Mentoring team members and supporting their professional and technical growth.
- Resolving conflicts and fostering a positive, collaborative team environment.
- Working closely with product and business owners to ensure delivery of real value to end customers.
- Shaping and growing the team (in collaboration with the domain lead) to ensure its ability to achieve defined goals and expectations.
- Ensuring the quality of delivered solutions meets agreed standards and expectations.
- Establishing, promoting, and enforcing development standards and best practices within the team.
You'll need:
- Extensive React Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience with React.js, including advanced concepts like hooks, context API, and component architecture.
- Leadership Skills: 2-3 years of experience in a leadership or mentorship role, guiding and developing a team of frontend developers.
- Technical Expertise: 5+ years of experience with front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+) and Typescript, as well as familiarity with preprocessors like SASS or LESS.
- State Management Proficiency: experience with state management solutions such as Redux or MobX, with a proven ability to implement best practices.
- Agile Methodologies: experience working in Agile environments, with a background in leading teams through Agile processes like Scrum or Kanban.
- Code Review and Quality Assurance: experience with code quality practices, including conducting code reviews and ensuring adherence to coding standards.
- API Integration Knowledge: 3+ years of experience in integrating RESTful APIs and understanding of GraphQL, with the ability to guide the team on efficient API consumption.
- Performance Optimization: 3+ years of experience applying performance optimization techniques for frontend applications to ensure efficiency and scalability.
- Testing and QA: 2+ years of experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, Enzyme, or React Testing Library, promoting a culture of testing within the team.
- Communication Skills: experience in roles requiring excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: experience working closely with designers, backend developers, and product managers/owners to deliver cohesive and user-friendly applications.
- Continuous Learning Mindset: A demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development, including staying updated with the latest trends and technologies in frontend development.
- Conflict Resolution: experience in problem-solving and conflict resolution within a team setting
- Portfolio of Leadership Experience: Evidence of at least 1-2 successful projects or initiatives where leadership skills were demonstrated, showcasing the ability to lead and deliver frontend solutions.
